Meditation

Guided meditation allows you to be guided by someone else. A guide may help you drum up some specific mental imagery or they may walk you through a series of breathing exercises or mantras to help you practice meditating.
Think of a mantra — a word or phrase you repeat during meditation — as a tool to help release your mind. It can make a lot of difference, especially if you have trouble concentrating or getting in the right frame of mind. Many people find that using a mantra can boost awareness and improve concentration. Thoughts to redirect your life and nourish your body and cells . This technique is similar to focused attention meditation, although instead of focusing on the breath to quiet the mind, you focus on a mantra (which could be a syllable, word, or phrase). The idea here is that the subtle vibrations associated with the repeated mantra can encourage positive change — maybe a boost in self-confidence or increased compassion for others — and help you enter an even deeper state of meditation.
This ancient Buddhist tradition involves sitting upright and following the breath, particularly the way it moves in and out of the belly, and letting the mind “just be.” Its aim is to foster a sense of presence and alertness.
This meditation technique is aimed at keeping the body’s core chakras — centers of energy — open, aligned, and fluid. Blocked or imbalanced chakras can result in uncomfortable physical and mental symptoms, but chakra meditation can help to bring all of them back into balance.
This form uses bowls, gongs, and other instruments to create sound vibrations that help focus the mind and bring it into a more relaxed state.

Breathwork

is a powerful approach to self-exploration and personal empowerment that relies on our innate inner wisdom and its capacity to move us toward positive transformation and wholeness. Acknowledging, accessing and supporting the inner healing intelligence and impulse in each individual is the essential cornerstone of this approach.
Breathwork supports so many of the challenges everyone experiences. It reduces stress, creates feelings of openness, love, peace, gratitude, clarity, communication, and connection. Breathwork also helps release trauma or mental, physical, and emotional blocks, as well as anxiety, depression, fear, grief, and anger. Breathing Health & Love it’s more than just a proper or intentional breathing exercise, it’s a tool for great transformation and healing. Breathing work covers a wide range of therapeutic practices and exercises that are used to relieve mental, physical and/or emotional tension. By breathing deeply, it can activate your parasympathetic nervous system and, in turn, lower heart rate and lower blood pressure, creating a sense of calm. Allows you to trust your diaphragm instead of your chest, which invites the neck and chest muscles to relax and engage your abs and a greater amount of oxygen to reach the cells and organs of your body. Breathing can help you reach a deeper state of mind. As long as you are in this state, you may be able to access buried emotions, grudges and trauma and ultimately release yourself from your control over your mental state. Breathing is often used to help those with mental health issues and is considered a way to calm and focus the mind.
The name alone is enough to keep away firefighters or housewives, which are the type of people I work with. These classes and sessions usually have drumming and tribal music. I prefer modern music in my Breathwork as it’s more relatable and makes people feel safe. Shamanic Breathwork Certification has many levels including bodywork, Art, Music, Chakras all of which are fine but not really needed to lead a Breathwork session.
One of the oldest and most recognized methods. They have dry and wet rebirthing. Wet is done in a pool or hot tub, sometimes completely nude for both the client and the guide. I believe this is uncomfortable for most people and again, not necessary to have a breakthrough. Also, the name is enough to turn your average person off. (Note: The creator of rebirthing believes in immortality and that it is part of the process.) As far as I know Rebirthing Certification takes several weeks.
Great name! it’s very accurate to what it is and that’s why the creator trademarked the name. Where I differ is that they use things like; Toning – making long sounds while doing Breathwork or Taping – basically a sort of temper tantrum slapping your hands and feet on the floor. Although I feel these may have some benefit, after trying them they felt a bit forced and contrived. I believe you don’t need all of these extras to get the full experience and benefit from Breathwork. I’m a minimalist. Plus, there are so many levels and modules to get a Transformation Breathwork Certification in that I have no idea how long it actually takes.
Wim Hof is probably the most popular Breathwork Teacher right now due to some of his insane feats like climbing Mt. Everest in shorts. Brrrr….no thanks. His breathing method is different from all the ones above and the one I teach because it incorporates breath holds and you usually just do 3 sets of 30 breaths instead of continuous connected Breathing. I still thought I’d include it here because he’s so popular right now. I actually really appreciate all the attention he is bringing to Breathwork. Wim Hof combines the Breathing with Ice Baths which I like but is very difficult to set that up for a class environment and even more difficult to get most people to do.
