Hidden away on the tip of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula is a magical place full of color. These stunning cotton-candy pink lakes filled with salt are called Las Coloradas. One of the days we will take a day trip to experience the beautiful pink lakes and cruise around the reserve with our friendly guide pointing out the numerous local flora and fauna, maybe even catching glimpses of flamingos, pelicans, sea turtles, and crocodiles to name a few! We have a large palapa for our meditation and yoga classes, and two smaller palapas on the beach with beach chairs. (Our expert caretakers will be on hand 24/7 to welcome you to the beach and assist you with any needs. ) The ocean is wide and gentle, and the soft lapping of the waves mix with local birdsong to softly accompany you throughout your stay. At night, turn out the lights and climb into our rooftop stargazing beds to take in the brilliantly clear night sky. We worked for several years with the Mexican wildlife protection agency to develop a sustainable construction method for this delicate area.The villa is completely off-grid and solar powered, and it is considered the most environmentally friendly coastal development in the Yucatan.
